Since beer consists of 90-95% water, using high-quality water is crucial for brewing. While good-tasting water can produce good beer, the mineral content in water significantly impacts bitterness perception, malt character, and mouthfeel.
With this 3-stage reverse osmosis (RO) system, you can create pure water, providing a blank canvas free from nearly all minerals. This allows you to customise your brewing water by adding specific minerals to match different beer styles. Adjusting your brewing water profile can enhance hop expression, balance malt sweetness, and create a smoother mouthfeel.

Reset your water profile and create a custom water recipe tailored to your beer style. This RO system efficiently removes calcium carbonate (lime), chlorine, and other unwanted elements at just 2.1 bar water pressure, eliminating the need for a booster pump.
The system operates efficiently from 2.1 bar, but at 3 bar and 12°C, it produces approximately 12 litres per hour with 93% filtration efficiency. Performance improves after 30 minutes of use, as the membrane requires initial hydration.

Maintenance & Filter Replacement
- Wastewater Ratio: Approximately 1:2 (clean water to wastewater) during operation.
- Annual Filter Replacement: To maintain efficiency, replace the sediment and carbon filters annually.
- Membrane Replacement: Every 3 years (or sooner if filtration performance decreases).
