An American hop variety relatively new on the scene. Often described as super Cascade. Alpha acid leves between 8 and 11%, making Amarillo a perfect hop for flavoring and aroma additions. The flavor profile is very citrusy, especially a distinct orange flavor and aroma. This hop is found to be somewhat sweet until it mellows out in a beer. Recommended as an aroma hop, but it could also be used as a bittering or a flavor hop. Perfect for Pale Ales and IPAs.
