Streamline your fermentation and beer transfers with the Conicus Pressure Fermentation and Bottling set, designed for precision, quality, and efficiency. Whether you’re transferring beer under pressure or using a gravity-fed method, the Conicus Pro ensures your beer remains fresh, clear, and free from oxygen exposure.

  1. Precise Pressure Control: Maintain optimal transfer conditions with the 1,5" Tri-Clamp Spunding Valve, allowing you to fine-tune pressure from 0–3 bar.
  2. Crystal-Clear Transfers: The Float with Dip Tube draws beer from the clearest layer, leaving sediment behind for professional-quality results.
  3. Seamless CO2 Integration: The 2" Tri-Clamp Plate with Gas Post and PRV enables controlled CO2 injection to assist transfers and maintain carbonation.
  4. Versatile Transfer Options: Transfer beer using the 1,5” Tri-Clamp Liquid Ball Lock Post for pressurized keg filling, or use the 1,5” Tri-Clamp Barb Hose Ø10 for gravity-fed methods.

Description

The Conicus Pressure Fermentation and Bottling is the ultimate solution for home and professional brewers looking to take their fermentation and bottling to the next level. It includes all the essential accessories, clamps, gaskets, and adapters required to ferment under pressure (or pressureless) in the Conicus Pro Unitank. This set also enables seamless bottling of your finished beer, either under pressure using a pressure transfer system or without pressure for traditional methods.

With this complete setup, you’ll have everything needed to manage fermentation with precision and efficiency while achieving crystal-clear beer transfers and a professional-level bottling process.

Features and Functionality

  • Pressureless Bottling: Utilize the 1,5” Tri-Clamp Barb Hose Ø10 for straightforward transfers via a silicone hose. Ideal for gravity-fed transfers without the need for pressurization.
  • Pressure Bottling (Pressure Transfer): Use the 1,5” Tri-Clamp Liquid Ball Lock Post, in combination with the Float with Dip Tube, for transferring beer directly under pressure. This ensures minimal oxygen exposure, maintaining the beer’s quality and freshness.
  • CO2-Assisted Transfers: The set includes a 2" Tri-Clamp Plate with Gas Post and PRV, allowing you to push beer out of the tank using CO2. This controlled method preserves carbonation and prevents oxidation during transfer or bottling.

Assembly Instructions

  1. Spunding Valve Setup: Attach the 1,5" Tri-Clamp Spunding Valve 0-3 Bar, Wet Model to one of the designated ports on the lid of the Conicus Unitank. This regulates pressure during fermentation.
  2. Pressure Plate Installation: Secure the 2" Tri-Clamp Plate with Gas Post and PRV to the top of the tank. Use the gas post to inject CO2 during transfers or bottling.
  3. Liquid Ball Lock Post Attachment: Mount the 1,5” Tri-Clamp Liquid Ball Lock Post to either the lid or one of the side ports. Connect the Float with Dip Tube to this post to draw beer from the clearest layer of the tank.
  4. Gravity Transfer Option: For pressureless bottling, use the 1,5” Tri-Clamp Barb Hose Ø10 to attach a silicone hose. This setup is ideal for traditional transfers to bottles or kegs.
  5. Securing Connections: Use the 1.5" Tri-Clamp and 1,5" Tri-Clamp Silicon Gasket for all connections to ensure a tight, leak-free seal.
  6. Keg to Keg Transfer: Attach the two Ball Lock Beer Connector 8 mm to the 8 mm Tube for Keg to Keg Transfer

Keg-to-Keg Transfer: Using the Conicus Pro as the Source

Transferring beer from your Conicus Pro Unitank to a keg is straightforward and ensures your beer stays fresh, clear, and free from oxidation. Follow these steps to use the Conicus Pro as the source keg in a keg-to-keg transfer:

Setup Instructions

  1. Prepare the Destination Keg:

    • Sanitize: Ensure the destination keg is sanitized to prevent contamination.
    • Purge with CO2: Pressurize the keg to approximately 0.1–0.2 bar to remove oxygen.
  2. Connect the Liquid Ball Lock Post on the Conicus Pro:

    • Attach the 1,5” Tri-Clamp Liquid Ball Lock Post to a Tri-Clamp port on the Conicus Pro, ideally a side port for easier flow.
    • Install the Float with Dip Tube to ensure beer is drawn from the clearest layer in the tank, leaving sediment behind.
  3. Set Up the Transfer Line:

    • Connect one Ball Lock Beer Connector 8 mm to the liquid out post on the Conicus Pro.
    • Connect the other Ball Lock Beer Connector 8 mm to the liquid out post on the destination keg.
    • Use the 8 mm Tube to link the two Ball Lock Connectors, creating a secure transfer line.
  4. Apply CO2 Pressure to the Conicus Pro:

    • Attach your CO2 source to the 2" Tri-Clamp Plate with Gas Post and PRV on the Conicus Pro.
    • Set the CO2 pressure in the Conicus Pro to approximately 0.2–0.3 bar higher than the pressure in the destination keg. This pressure differential will drive the transfer.
  5. Start the Transfer:

    • Open the liquid line valves (if present) or let the pressure differential initiate the flow.
    • Monitor the transfer to ensure smooth and steady flow, and avoid overfilling the destination keg.
  6. Complete the Transfer:

    • Once the beer has been transferred, close the valves and disconnect the transfer line.
    • Vent excess pressure from the destination keg (if necessary) and seal the keg securely.

Pressure Recommendations (Bar)

  • Conicus Pro Source Pressure: 0.5–0.8 bar (depending on desired transfer speed)
  • Destination Keg Pressure: 0.2–0.5 bar (set slightly lower to allow smooth flow)

Pro Tips for Optimal Transfer

  • Reduce Foaming: Keep both the Conicus Pro and the destination keg at the same cold temperature (~2–4°C) to reduce foam and preserve carbonation.
  • Sanitize Everything: Always sanitize the transfer line, connectors, and Ball Lock Posts to maintain beer quality.
  • Purge the Line: Before starting the transfer, flush the 8 mm Tube with CO2 to remove any oxygen.
  • Slow and Steady: Avoid setting too high a pressure differential to prevent foaming or excessive turbulence in the destination keg.

Benefits of the Conicus Unitank Set

  • High-Quality Transfers: The Float with Dip Tube ensures beer is drawn from the surface, avoiding sediment and delivering crystal-clear results.
  • Oxygen-Free Bottling: Pressure transfers using the Liquid Ball Lock Post minimize oxygen exposure, preserving beer flavor and freshness.
  • Easy Setup and Versatility: Whether you prefer pressure fermentation, counter-pressure bottling, or gravity transfers, this set adapts to your brewing style.
  • Durable Materials: Stainless steel and food-grade silicone components ensure long-lasting performance.
  • Complete Control: The 1,5" Tri-Clamp Spunding Valve lets you precisely control fermentation pressure, optimizing the process for different beer styles.

Pro Tips for Best Results

  • Always sanitize all components before use to maintain beer quality and hygiene.
  • Monitor CO2 pressure closely when transferring under pressure to avoid over-carbonation or foaming.
  • For best clarity, let the beer settle before bottling and use the Float with Dip Tube for top-layer transfers.

With the Conicus Pressure Fermentation and Bottling set, you gain full control over your brewing process, from fermentation to bottling. This set ensures your beer achieves the highest standards of quality and taste.
